Heart Failure

Heart failure can sometimes occur when the heart muscle has become too weak to push blood through the body the way it used to. In some cases, the heart may not be pumping blood from the heart’s chambers quickly enough. The blood can then stay too long in the chambers and thicken, which can result in a clot. Coumadin® (warfarin) lowers the chance of blood clots forming and helps the blood flow through the heart more easily.
