Stroke

StrokeMost strokes are caused by a blood clot that blocks a blood vessel in the brain. This blockage stops blood flow to a part of the brain. When blood flow stops in the brain, brain cells may die and brain damage can occur. Coumadin® (warfarin) decreases the chance of clot formation in the blood vessels of your brain, which will lower your risk of having a stroke.
